Teenage Rugby is an important part of the USQ Rugby Club as it continues the pathway for players from the Junior age groups. The Teenage rugby competition includes Boys Under 13’s, Under 14’s, Under 15’s, Under 16-17’s; as well as Girls Sevens in Under 13’s, Under 15’s and Under 17’s.

Teenage Rugby Players are encouraged to push themselves out of their comfort zones in regards to their skills development as well as their understanding of how to play Rugby Union. The rules of Teenage Rugby are closer aligned with the senior grades and the ARU has developed the teenage game to further advance the individual skills, fitness and team work of all players in accordance with their age and understanding of the game.

The teenage rugby competition is played through terms 1 and 2 and players from non-rugby playing schools are invited to participate. Coaches are encouraged to work close with parents to ensure that players achieve their goals while playing in an enjoyable team environment.U15b
